On an Island?
Hello Team Life Remodeled,
As CEO, some of my responsibilities are easier than others. This past week, I’ve felt “like I was on an island.”
Wait. I am on a beautiful island – Mackinac Island.
I spent every waking hour rubbing shoulders with more than 1,500 Michigan CEOs, business executives and politicians at the Mackinac Policy Conference.
The purpose of the gathering is to discuss Michigan’s most pressing issues. The reason I’m here is to do the same things I do every day: build new relationships and deepen existing ones. Relationship are everything in life, and truly “no man is an island.”
I live for interaction, and I thoroughly enjoy discussing Detroit’s most demanding concerns. However, for relationships and conversations to bring joy to my life, they must lead to meaningful action.
Because of your support, I can confidently invite Michigan’s leading companies to join Life Remodeled in real opportunities to make tangible, immediate, and sustainable impact in Detroit’s neighborhoods.
Have you or your company or organization registered to volunteer with Life Remodeled’s Six-Day Project (July 31 and August 5)?
Is your company part of “The Detroit 100” — our upcoming business fundraising breakfast on June 28?
If you answered no to either or both questions, there is still time to get on board.
Finally, I want to thank WJR-AM radio host Frank Beckmann for the opportunity to discuss my experience with him at Mackinac. You can listen to the show here.
Passionate about the Future of Detroit,
Chris Lambert | CEO |
