Volunteering with The Youth of Detroit and Surrounding Areas

By Signing up for Our Detroit Volunteer Programs, You Make a Difference in the Lives of People Within Our Community

Life Remodeled has several different opportunities for you to connect with and leave a lasting impact on the youth in the Metro Detroit area. We work with organizations like Detroit’s Big Brother Big Sister program and the Durfee Innovation Society to bring fun activities to students from elementary to high school ages. Our mentorship programs are also a great way to connect with someone and help them achieve their goals. Click below to learn more about our different volunteer opportunities.

Six-Day Project

Community Outreach Volunteer Programs in Detroit Can Leave a Lasting Impact of a Lot of People

Our Six Day Project is focused on cleaning up our community, removing blight, and beautifying neighborhoods and schools around Metro Detroit. We bring thousands of volunteers together over the course of a week each October. If either of these volunteer opportunities peak your interest, we would be happy to give you more information.

Detroit once housed more than 1.8 million people. However, now with only 650,000 residents, we have a lot of vacant land—thousands of acres of overgrown brush and weeds making certain areas not only visually depressing but also more dangerous.

The City of Detroit’s blight removal program is second to none; however, it’s just not possible for vacant properties to be maintained weekly at this time in our city’s history, and we need the help of volunteers like you to continue investing in the neighborhoods surrounding the one stop shop of opportunity that we’ve created together, the Durfee Innovation Society.

Additionally, given the division and polarization we’re facing in our country, we need Six Day Projects where people from all walks of life can work together–now more than ever.

The 2021 Six Day Project is October 4-9. Fill out the form below to sign up or learn more!
