Happy 313 Day, from Life Remodeled!
Today, March 13, is a special day to appreciate all the do-gooders in Detroit– it’s 313 Day!
On this day, Life Remodeled would like to thank everyone who has played a critical role in ensuring the success of our work– from our Six Day Project volunteers to the community members who support our work at the Durfee Innovation Society (DIS). We would especially like to thank the members of our corporate giving circle, the 313 Club, for their continuous support of our mission.
On March 5, 313 Club members came together at our Spring Mixer to mingle, tour the DIS, and discuss the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Speakers included Laura Castone, Community Development Market Manager for Chemical Bank’s SE Michigan branch; Tupac Hunter, Local Government Affairs and Community Engagement with Verizon; and Sue Sabo, Director of Communications and Corporate Giving for Masco Corporation.
Throughout the discussion, our panelists talked about best practices in CSR as well as what they see in the future. Many mentioned the importance of data collection and impact reporting being integral to future funding. Furthermore, with the continued rise of AI and other advances in technology, the importance of being physically present when giving back and connecting individually and personally with a cause was discussed as well.

Again, Life Remodeled is extremely thankful to all of our donors and supporters and wants to wish everyone here in Detroit a happy 313 day!
