LIFE REMODELED HOSTS A NIGHT OF NOSTALGIA WITH ANNUAL PROM REMODELED CELEBRATION

The event will bring together the who’s who of Detroit to celebrate neighborhood revitalization 

DETROIT (April 9, 2025) – Life Remodeled is inviting the community and the change-makers shaping Detroit’s future to step back in time and re-imagine prom with a nostalgic evening of glitz, glamour and giving back. The annual Prom Remodeled event will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm at the Durfee Innovation Society. The evening will blend throwbacks and celebration with the overall mission of creating sustainable neighborhood revitalization.

Prom Remodeled provides the opportunity to re-live youthful memories while creating new ones just as meaningful and unforgettable as those before. Along with dancing and delicious food, guests will experience live performances from Hip-Hop legend DJ Kool, famous for his hit, “Let Me Clear My Throat!” Plus, the ultimate 80s cover band, Mega 80s, is making a return to help attendees recapture the energy and fun associated with the music from that decade. As guests party with a purpose, their support for Life Remodeled will play an integral part in sustaining a brighter future for the city.

Prom night carries a bittersweet reminiscence of accomplishment while simultaneously marking the beginning of a new chapter. Similarly, this year’s event mimics those feelings as the organization embarks on a new leadership journey. After 15 years, Founder and CEO Chris 

Lambert, will officially pass the role to Diallo Smith, the organization’s current President and COO, during the event. The night will not only celebrate Life Remodeled’s work but the new milestone that the organization is embracing.
