Brandi Haggins

Brandi Haggins, a lifelong Detroiter, is a dedicated wife and mother of two teenage boys. Driven to further her education after high school, she simultaneously held three jobs while taking classes to finance her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her passion for community service led her to spend 10 years in dental management within Detroit neighborhood offices, where she ensured quality dental care for underserved populations. Subsequently, she served as a manager for a nonprofit organization that provided transitional housing and recovery services to homeless veterans for 5 years. While her tenure with that organization concluded, her commitment to the nonprofit sector remained steadfast.
In early 2018, upon introduction to the Durfee Innovation Society, she immediately recognized the opportunity to collaborate with Life Remodel’s founder, Chris Lambert, in realizing the vision of an Opportunity Hub.
As the Vice President of Opportunity Hubs for Life Remodeled, she oversees the daily operations of the Durfee Innovation Society (DIS), a 143,000 square foot facility accommodating 37 nonprofits dedicated to serving Detroit’s children and families. Through her leadership and operational guidance, the DIS has become a symbol of community progress. Furthermore, her leadership has been instrumental in Life Remodeled’s second opportunity hub, Anchor Detroit, achieving full occupancy with Letters of Intent from prominent nonprofit organizations. Her extensive involvement in managing these sites reflects her commitment to improving the quality of life for Detroit residents. Brandi’s dedication has strengthened access to opportunities for Detroiters and encouraged teamwork and collaboration, resulting in significant changes in the community.
Brandi’s unwavering optimism fosters a positive environment wherever she goes. She has cultivated a safe, collaborative atmosphere and a culture of love and compassion within the two hubs. Whether it be through the nonprofits headquartered there or the partners she’s connected with beyond its walls, all her endeavors aim to strengthen the surrounding community and empower its residents with access to critical resources and life-changing opportunities.
Her objective is to continue learning and excelling in her role as the Vice President of Opportunity Hubs while working with Life Remodeled’s executive team to create a playbook that will share the organization’s story and provide information about replicating their model.
