YOU are in Crain’s Top 40!
Dear Life Remodelers,
Whether you consider yourself to be above or below 40 years of age, YOU made it into the 2017 Crain’s 40 under 40 list!
Every year Crain’s Detroit Business recognizes 40 achievers (under the age of 40), and because of your commitment, donations and volunteer support, I was selected to the 2017 class. With the exception of a few hospitals and universities, Life Remodeled is one of only five nonprofits featured this year with nominated young leaders from our region.
Read the article here.
First and foremost, Life Remodeled is about the children and families who live, learn, work and play in the Detroit neighborhoods we serve with. It’s important to note that Life Remodeled does not serve neighborhoods. We serve with them. We come alongside Detroit kids, educators and community leaders to execute their visions for educational and community revitalization.
That said, this is what Life Remodeled is really about: 11,000+ volunteers, 300+ partners, sponsors and donors from across the region joining forces to work together. Every single one of us needs our lives to be more-fully-remodeled so that we can truly understand how much we need one another.
Even though it’s a photograph of me that you will find representing Life Remodeled in this year’s Crain’s 40 under 40, that picture represents each and every person who’s been a part of Team Life Remodeled. Every single person and every single contribution has helped get us to where we are today.
As you may have seen in an earlier Crain’s editorial, my faith is what drives me to serve. Who or what motivates you? I would love to hear from you.
I love how diverse Team Life Remodeled has become. Some of us are spiritual, while some of us do not believe spiritual forces exist. Some of us have strong political views. Some of us live in the city, and some in the burbs.
No matter what differentiates us, we are committed to transform Detroit neighborhoods… and even help transform each other’s lives #together along the way.
Thank you for your passion to remodel lives, and congratulations on recognition for your service!
