2026 Six Day Project Details
Every year, thousands of volunteers trade their laptops, meetings and everyday routines for lawn mowers, loppers, weed whips and a whole lot of teamwork. Together, we take on this critical initiative of clearing overgrowth, removing debris, beautifying shared spaces and helping to create thriving neighborhoods that feel safer, more connected and full of pride.
And this year, we’re especially excited because the Six Day Project is taking place in TWO Detroit neighborhoods! Our first three days will take place on the eastside in the neighborhoods surrounding Anchor Detroit, and the second half of the week we’ll be on the westside near our Durfee Innovation Society.

What to Expect on your Project Work Day:
11 – 11:45 a.m. | Arrive at HQ
Your team may arrive anytime during this window. Please allow enough time for your entire group to arrive, assemble and be ready to board a shuttle bus by no later than 11:45 a.m.
12 – 4 p.m. | Hit the Blocks!
Teams will arrive at Command Centers work throughout the neighborhoods on blight removal and beautification projects.
4 p.m. | Return to HQ
Volunteers will board their shuttle buses at the neighborhood command centers and return to HQ. From there, you can head back to your vehicles and be on your way home before 5 p.m.

2025 SIX DAY PROJECT RECAP
The 2025 Project brought together 5,200+ difference-makers from 140+ different groups to clear 960 cubic yards of trash and 1,200 cubic yards of brush from 270 blocks. We also recycled 373 tires!
Since 2014, Life Remodeled has invested $73 million into five Detroit communities. We’ve beautified 2,922 blocks, boarded up 2,062 houses and engaged 92,903 volunteers.
